A 10-kit JobBox living permanently in the Fusion Lab, with films from three of the Midlands' biggest games studios.

Challenge

The Fusion Lab a play-testing environment where local games companies develop and test experiences wanted to expand beyond 2D game testing into VR, and to showcase careers in the local games industry to prospective students.

What we delivered

A 10-kit JobBox with 10 x VR headsets and three immersive films one each for Playground Games, Codemasters and Fish in a Bottle.

Deployment

The JobBox lives permanently in the Fusion Lab, used for both VR game development testing and careers discovery.

Outcome

The lab now offers a VR game development testing environment alongside the JobBox careers platform a capability it did not previously have. Three of the Midlands' most exciting studios are featured.

JobBox+ managed service

Warwick added JobBox+ so the same headsets switch between careers content, student projects and third party apps without anyone on site touching settings. We deploy updates remotely, and the lab keeps access to the wider VR software ecosystem.
