The problem

Every careers stand looks the same.

Most organisations attend recruitment fairs with pop-up banners, leaflets, giveaways and staff explaining what it's like to work there.

Candidates leave remembering very little. Many people accept jobs without ever understanding what the role or workplace is actually like.

Lower engagement. Poorer decisions. Higher turnover. Missed chances to inspire.

Laura has spent a decade in virtual reality and five years building immersive experiences for education, entertainment and training. Before co-founding Vibe XR, she worked in the NHS an experience that gave her a front-row seat to how young people are let down when the system doesn't show them what's possible.

She's also a pianist, composer and video producer. Someone who has always understood that the best way to move people is to put them inside something, not explain it to them.

That instinct is JobBox. Not a brochure. Not a banner. The actual feeling of being there.

I've always believed that the best learning happens through experience, not just observation. At Vibe Immersive, my focus is on creating immersive experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and open doors to opportunities that people may never have considered.

Whether we're helping students explore future careers through Job Box VR or preserving our heritage with cutting-edge technology, I'm passionate about using immersive technology to create meaningful, accessible experiences that make a lasting impact.

Alex spent over a decade building immersive technology for emergency services, universities, museums and organisations around the world. He founded RiVR, grew it to serve more than 200 organisations, and successfully exited. Then he asked himself a simple question: what actually changes people?

Not information. Experience.

But building enterprise VR for ten years taught him something else too. He kept seeing the same story everywhere he went. Organisations would invest in headsets with real excitement, and within a year the kit was sitting in a cupboard. Not because VR didn't work, but because nobody helped them run it. Nobody updated it. Nobody deployed new content. Nobody could tell them if it was even being used.

That question led him to co-found Vibe XR with Laura, and to build JobBox. A complete recruitment experience in a box, taken anywhere, owned outright, and never left to gather dust.

When I created JobBox, I wasn't trying to build another education product. I was trying to solve two problems I've seen for years.

The first is about people. Too many young people are expected to make life-changing career decisions without ever experiencing what those jobs are really like. A five-minute conversation at a careers fair or reading a prospectus simply isn't enough. JobBox gives students the opportunity to STEPiNSiDE real workplaces, meet real people, and experience real careers before making decisions about their future. Whether it's engineering, healthcare, construction, hospitality, emergency services, creative industries or technology, our goal is to make careers tangible, inspiring and accessible.

The second problem is about the technology itself. Across my career I've watched organisations spend millions of pounds on VR equipment that ends up unused, because every single one of them eventually asks the same questions. How do we update it? Who manages it? How do we deploy new content? How do we lock it down? How do we know it's being used? How do we brand it as ours?

Nobody was answering those questions. So we built JobBox to answer every one.

That's why JobBox isn't just a box of headsets. It's a managed platform. Every box stays updated, every experience stays fresh, and every organisation gets their own branded app that grows with them. The headsets never go in the cupboard, because the content never stops coming.

Every experience we film is built with authenticity, designed to inspire curiosity, remove barriers and help people discover opportunities they may never have considered. We don't believe careers guidance should be limited to leaflets, websites or presentations. And we don't believe organisations should be left alone with hardware they can't run.

This is more than a box of VR headsets. It's a gateway to opportunity, and the platform that keeps that gateway open.

If we can help one student discover a career they never knew existed, choose a path with confidence, or realise their own potential, then we've achieved exactly what JobBox was created to do.
